Hi, I’m Lillian, a feisty and playful girl with an extra spring to my step! I have a big personality, so I will need an adopter that will help me express myself in a positive way. I am unsure about new people and will need an experienced adopter that ideally has worked with “stranger danger” before. Once I become friends with someone, I am a friend for life and will show them nothing but love and loyalty!  I am super athletic and would love an active home. Visit the website of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society (Berkeley Humane) at berkeleyhumane.org to learn more and schedule a meeting with me.

Introducing Calvin! This little guy, a 2-year-old neutered male Chihuahua, loves to run around and explore the world. He is always eager to go for walks and would make a great running or hiking buddy, plus his joy for exploring the outdoors would certainly be a morale booster during a particularly exhausting trek! Calvin is a friendly boy who will happily greet people, but he is also very comfortable doing his own thing. On the hunt for a confident pint-sized pal to make you smile? The East Bay SPCA (EBSPCA) offers walk-in adoptions at its Oakland and Dublin campuses from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. Come meet Calvin in Dublin. For updated and real-time information on EBSPCA programs and offerings, visit eastbayspca.org/adoptions online.

All Otis wants for New Year’s is a home. In February, he will have been at our shelter for two years.

Now 8 years old, Otis has mellowed into a sweet old soul looking for a quiet home with no other animals and no kids. He is easy to walk on leash and enjoys exploring. He would make a great companion for a stay-at-home professional who would like to look over and see a smiling face and big brown eyes. At 1590 Fortmann Way in Alameda, we’ll be open from noon to 2 p.m. New Year’s Eve, so stop by and take Otis for a stroll along the marina with one of our volunteers. We guarantee you’ll fall in love. To meet handsome Otis at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter (FAAS), call 510-337-8565 or visit alamedaanimalshelter.org/adopt online.

Meet Port, one of eight adorable scruffy pups new to Milo. Port is young but very smart. He is great with other dogs and loves people. He’s looking for a loving person to show him the ropes and how to be a “good boy.” Is that you? Contact the staff at Milo Point Richmond for assistance from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. any day but Tuesdays at 220 S. Garrard Blvd. in Richmond. Our dedicated staff is on duty every day caring for our animals and has saved more than 39,000 lives in 28 years. For more details, visit milofoundation.org/contact-us.

Hi there, we’re 5-month-old sister and brother Lila and Leo. He’s the one with more white fur on him, and I’m the petite one with more black. We bicker about who’s the prettiest but we have fun. I love playing with my brother and with toys too. Mice will do but so will those crinkley, shiney tinfoil balls. I think he’s a big scaredy cat, he thinks I’m shy. Maybe you can decide. For more information about Lila, Leo or any other adoptable pets with the Contra Costa (CCSPCA), call Pat at 925-323-0667.
