Concord’s annual Comfort Food Month restaurant promotion just so happens to coincide with the wettest, chilliest January in ages.
Need to warm up while saving money and finding a new favorite? More than 30 restaurants and other food purveyors are offering deals or discounts. Think dumplings, pasta and cozy desserts.
At some restaurants, like Beard Papa’s, Chef Kev’s, La Fritanguera, Papi Clary’s, Pizza Twist, Ranchero Taqueria and Salsa Mexican Grill, customers get 15% or 20% off their purchases. Other restaurants are making a dessert, appetizer, side dish or cocktail free with a purchase.
Two of the participants are among the city ‘s oldest restaurants: Barney’s Hickory Pit, which dates back to 1957, and Sugar Plum Coffee Shop, which opened in 1959.
Others with offers are Beard Papa’s, BJ’s Restaurant, Buttercup, Canasta, Chef Kev’s Specialty Foods, Concord Tap House, Corner Kitchen, Crumbl Cookies, Doppio Zero, Dunkin’, Epidemic Ales, Fiore, Frickin’ Fried, Hillside Dawgz, Huckleberry’s, La Fritanguera, Lettuce Inn, Lima, Longport, Love Thai, Luna Ristorante, Molli Restaurant & Lounge, Next Level Burgers, Out the Dough, Papi Clary’s Kitchen, Parma Delicatessen, Pizza Twist, Popbar Concord, Puesto, Ranchero Taqueria, Salsa Mexican Grill and Tasty Pot.
