Could Broncos Country become Yeezy Country?

Add Kanye West to the list of names linked to purchasing the Broncos. But what could one man do with all that power? Well, it won’t be just one man. Antonio Brown — president of West’s sports fashion line within his company Donda and free agent receiver who notoriously walked away from the Buccaneers last season — said they are teaming up in an “extremely serious” bid to buy the team, according to TMZ.

“Tell (NFL Commissioner) Roger (Goodell) to call me,” Brown told TMZ. “We’re working on it. … We’re extremely serious about it. We’re working toward getting it done.”

West claimed in a January interview with Hollywood Unlocked that he’s worth $10 billion, which would be sufficient to reach the projected $4 billion floor price to purchase the Broncos. Forbes, however, places the prolific music producer and rapper at $1.8 billion. Brown, 33, has made $80 million from his contracts during his NFL playing career.

West and Brown aren’t the only ones who have publicly said they were interested in buying the franchise. Media mogul Byron Allen said in February that he would bid for the Broncos. Another man, Sean O’Brien, wants fans to pitch in $50 apiece in order to buy the team. The latter would go against an established NFL rule that mandate no more than 24 people can be part of an ownership group, but that isn’t stopping O’Brien from trying.
