NEW YORK: Pleasanton residents Kathy and Allan Redmond took a tour of New York City in early October, when the weather was a balmy 75 to 80 degrees. “One of the highlights was seeing the Statue of Liberty up close!” Allan says. “Other highlights: seeing two Broadway plays, 9-11 Memorial and Museum, Ellis Island Immigration Museum and beautiful Central Park.”

Travel tips: “The tour was organized through the Pleasanton Senior Center VIP travel desk,” Allan says.
